LA Events is a family-run entertainment and event-services business based in Milton Keynes, led by Leigh Ainsworth. We work with couples, private-party hosts, venues and businesses across Milton Keynes, Northampton and surrounding areas.

A love of music from an early age
“My love of DJing started when I was a boy. My brothers were DJs, and I worked on a record-market stall, bringing home the week’s new records for my brother. Sometimes I went along to his jobs and helped set up. I was hooked.”
“After taking some years away from DJing to focus on family life and work, I returned in 2018 while helping a friend at a Christmas party. That brought back the love of DJing I’d had since I was a teenager.”
From Ainsey’s Discos to LA Events
Leigh left his previous job, bought DJ equipment and a photobooth, and started Ainsey’s Discos in 2018. “Ainsey” is his nickname. Photobooth bookings grew more than he had initially expected, and the expanding business became Ainsey’s Entertainment.
Weddings, parties and celebrations remained central to the work. A conversation while DJing a private party with someone connected with John Lewis led to a corporate booking. Further opportunities followed, bringing larger and more complex events.
At Christmas 2025, Leigh DJ’d corporate Christmas events at the NEC alongside VIVID and Reactor Events, with audiences of approximately 2,500 people. The work ran repeatedly from late November until shortly before Christmas.
In January 2026, the business became LA Events. LA represents Leigh Ainsworth’s initials. The new name reflects its development into corporate entertainment and event production while retaining the personal connection.
Smaller celebrations still matter
“I still love smaller birthday parties and family celebrations. Being close to the guests, seeing their reactions and sharing their enjoyment is a big part of why I do this.”
Corporate experience has broadened the work; smaller private parties remain a deliberate part of the service. Leigh adapts the music and planning to the people and occasion, rather than treating every event in the same way.
Planning together
We discuss your requirements before directing you to the Booking Form for a detailed written record. Planning is proportional to the event: wedding music and first-dance timings, a party’s atmosphere, or access and supplier coordination for a larger corporate setup.
