Your music choices give me a starting point. On the night, I watch the room, listen to requests and adapt to the people in front of me. If several guests are asking for the same style of music, that can be a useful sign of where the party wants to go. A prepared list is guidance rather than a fixed script. Music you love listening to isn’t always the music you want to dance to, so we talk about both.

We also discuss songs to avoid. Tell me which are an absolute do-not-play and which you would prefer to avoid unless a guest requests them. Music can carry personal memories, and I handle those boundaries sensitively.

At a birthday or family party, guests often want a drink and a catch-up first. I give them time to settle with familiar background music, then build the energy as the room is ready. Smaller parties are still an important part of what I enjoy about DJing.

Our DJ service can be booked on its own or combined with photobooth hire, white crystal dance floor hire and lighting for a complete entertainment setup.

Our school prom experience includes repeat DJ and photobooth bookings at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone in Milton Keynes over approximately four years. I plan backups for critical DJ equipment, including two laptops and backup DJ equipment. The aim is to give us practical options if something goes wrong; it doesn’t mean every item has an identical spare.

If venue access is delayed or timings change, I prioritise getting the DJ booth, decks, speakers and essential lighting operating. Where it is safe and practical, finishing touches can follow discreetly while guests arrive and settle in.
